Head of Corporate Fundraising – £40K – £45K- Woking

Overall purpose of the role:
To manage, expand and develop existing sponsorship and commercial partnerships and to initiate new and lucrative contracts with industry to actively increase levels of corporate income, reach targets and raise the profile of the charity in all areas of the market place.
To develop, negotiate and maintain corporate packages for my client’s events that meet the needs of both the Charity and the Company, generating creative ideas for win-win partnerships.
Identify new sources of support through networking, pitches and social media, and build relationships with new businesses and other sources ranging from trusts to legacies to establish loyalty and sustainable income.
Prepare and submit applications to potential sources of income and monitor progress.
Encourage companies to adopt my client as their chosen Charity Partner and thereby demonstrate their commitment to Social Responsibility.
Support Companies in fundraising ideas, providing help with branding, as well as encouraging them to participate in events as candidates and volunteers.
Be innovative in ideas for new and perhaps unusual ways of raising funds and acquiring sponsorship deals, following these through to completion.
Prepare assessments, budgets, costing and forecasts for sponsorship and other proposals

You will have/be:
At least 5 years’ experience in Corporate Fundraising at a Senior Level
The ability to understand and interpret the ethos and style of my client n all communications and planning
A proven track record in corporate fundraising from a variety of sectors
Experience in conducting research in to potential corporate partners
Demonstrable experience of meeting challenging targets
A high level of success in networking with and presentation to potential supporters and donors
An understanding of the key characteristics of corporate fundraising, including mutual benefits for the business as well as Walk the Walk
An understanding of the importance of diversifying income streams
Excellent communication skills on all levels, written, telephone and personal communication
Excellent presentation skills
Networking ability, including an understanding of the use of social media to meet people
Keen negotiation skills
Be able to think outside the box
Effective time management skills and an ability to manage multiple deadlines
A sound knowledge of IT including Excel and Word

Previous experience of working within the Charity sector
Experience of dealing with serious health issues
An interest and or experience in fitness and health
