This role will provide efficient and comprehensive shipping administration for all equipment shipped from the UK and CZ and to act as an advisor to the different departments around the organisation regarding the shipping of equipment.
• Providing shipping instructions / assistance and despatch paperwork to Global shipping departments.
• Co-coordinating all packing and freight transport,
• Liaising with sub contract companies to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers requirements
• Completing shipping certificates / documentation and detailed shipment records.
• Signing off freight / packing invoices – Querying any invoices which are incorrect.
• Controlling all imports into the UK by providing customs clearance instructions to the necessary clearance agent within a small time frame to minimise storage costs.
• Controlling hire and demo equipment in conjunction with the internal sales, marketing and service teams, using Lotus notes / stock movement forms.
• Arranging the despatch, paperwork and collection of all UK Hire / demos / loans and exhibitions
• Invoice generation and administration
• Correlation and creation of monthly shipping spreadsheet (Excel) to enable Weekly / Monthly invoicing and despatch paperwork (of multiple build sites) in accordance with EU customs procedures, inc. specialist documentary requirements.
• Experience of working in a shipping role
• Good working knowledge of export legislations
• Good ability in using Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Attention to detail
• Ability to manage own workload and drive results
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
