Gary’s successful career with Halmer Recruit started over ten years. Gary is now Business Manager for the company and manages over fifteen staff in five different sectors. Our five specialist sectors are Driving, Industrial, Commercial, I.T and the Travel Sector. Gary now utilises his wide knowledge of the industry and has established relationships within the  various sectors and ensures the teams are achieving the highest possible service and standards to both our client and candidates alike.

Sarah Chandler
Assistant Business Manager

During Sarah’s  career with Halmer Recruit,  she has recruited and specialised  in all the sectors that Halmer Recruit cover, building strong,  long standing relationships. This has  included Driving/Industrial, Commercial and the Travel Sector. Sarah now utilises her wide knowledge of the industry and her established relationships within the  various sectors, in assisting the teams to achieve the highest possible service and standards to both our client and candidates alike.

Ann-Marie Eastwood
Accounts Manager

Ann-Marie joined Halmer Recruit in March 2013 as ‘Accounts Assistant’. She was promoted to manager for the accounts team after only a few months and has been successful in running this side of the business ever since.

Jane Warzee
Payroll Assistant

Jane joined Halmer Recruit in October 2013. She runs every aspect of Halmer payroll for all divisions for both Walton On Thames and Guildford. Jane’s sense of urgency assures tight deadlines are met and everyone is paid on time

Julie Rowe
Team Leader

Julie has over 10 years solid recruitment experience and has been with Halmer Recruit for the past three years managing commercial recruitment within the South East of England.  In this time Julie has proved to be a valued member of the team; a truly professional account manager.  She takes the time to listen and understand her client’s needs to ensure that she recruits the perfect candidate with the least amount of inconvenience to her clients.

Hugo Bell
Senior Recruitment Consultant

Hugo joined Halmer Recruit in 2012 after leaving In Situ Media and hasn’t looked back since. Having started his successful recruitment career here, he is delighted to be able to combine his two passions of people and recruitment. Hugo specialises in recruiting office staff to the local areas. His great charisma and ability to build strong working relationships with clients and candidates have resulted in a very established commercial desk at Walton.

Maria Shine
Senior Recruitment Consultant

Maria has worked for Halmer since 2011 starting as a resourcer on the travel department. Since then she has proved to be a successful recruitment consultant and has now been promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant working on the Driving and Industrial division. She has shown a passion for recruitment and helping people get into work which has helped her achieve her success within the company.

Anita Clarke
Recruitment Consultant

Anita has worked for Halmer Recruit for almost 4 years, having started as an administrator, and has developed into a recruitment consultant. Anita runs the industrial and driving desk alongside her colleague Maria.

Amber Copland
Recruitment Consultant

Amber joined the company in 2014 to develop the driving and industrial division in Walton. She has been very successful with building and maintaining relationships with large companies, it is down to her dedication and drive to succeed that the desk has gone from strength to strength.

James Abbey

James has over 10 years experience in recruitment, he specialises in the Driving and Industrial industry and currently runs the 'out of ours' service.  James is a valuable member of the team ensuring that our clients and candidates can be in contact with our staff 24/7.

Lesley Brade
Divisional Manager - Business Travel Specialist

Lesley joined Halmer in 1999 after a very successful career throughout the travel industry. A year after joining Halmer, Lesley set up the travel division on her own and it took off, it grew to become the established and successful division it is today. She has expanded the Travel division, and now has two separate teams for business and leisure.

James joined Halmer in March 2018 and has successfully launched our Construction Division. He has built up a strong candidate base of professional and skilled workers to forefeel his client’s needs across the UK. There is no project that James won’t take his hand to.

Their staff are always so helpful in finding what we need, whether it is for manufacturing and warehouse personnel or for office staff. They have a great deal of experience and will always to meet our requirements. We often need temporary staff at short notice and they don't let us down. I think we actually take about 70% of the temps on a permanent basis. Halmer supply us with a weekly invoice which always ties up with their timesheets, their accounts team are excellent.   • At Guildford Borough Council we have used and relied on Halmer Recruitment for over 15 years to supply all of our agency staff. Our requirements change weekly and sometimes daily for varying roles from refuse/recycling drivers and loaders, street cleaning operatives, litter pickers and also administration staff. There is always someone from Halmer available to speak to 24/7, which is very helpful considering that some of our positions start the day at 5am. All the Halmer staff go out of their way to visit and find out first-hand the type of work we need to be covered, the working environment, managers and supervisors. This is reflected when staff arrive because they are fully aware of the role they will be required to undertake. Many of our positions are not desirable to say the least and Halmer are excellent at sourcing the correct staff for the job. No one arrives unaware of what is expected of them! We often have people calling for jobs and we always refer them to Halmer as we know that they will do all the necessary hard work involved rather than us interviewing and getting driving licences etc. Using Halmer has proved to make our staffing so much easier then when we used several agencies and chased constantly for staff.
